Parking in Manly

Council provides a number of parking options for your convenience in the Manly CBD and for resident parking in residential streets.

Digital Designated Parking Permits

Manly Designated Parking Permits went digital from 1 February 2014. You can apply for your 2015 digital designated parking permits online in five easy steps.

Occupiers of all ratable properties in Manly are entitled to apply for Designated Parking Permits. See the Digital Designated Parking Permit webpage for more information on eligibility requirements and frequently asked questions. 

Manly Resident Card  

Manly residential ratepayers (owner occupiers) and residents (tenants) are eligible for a Manly Resident Card. Cards are only valid in Manly National, Pacific Waves, Peninsula and Whistler Street parking stations.  Cards provide up to 3 continuous hours per day in one parking station per day from 7am to midnight.

Permit Parking Schemes

The parking permit schemes were introduced around the Manly CBD to give priority to residents for on street parking near their homes. Residents living in eligible properties in the permit parking areas in Manly are entitled to apply for area parking permits.

Public Parking Station

Council has four public parking stations in the Manly CBD open to the public 7 days a week. There are also a number of public car parks around the municipality which provide free parking, including disabled parking. Manly Resident Cards can be used in parking stations.

Parking Infringements

Councils do not set or amend parking fine penalty amounts. Parking fines and the penalty amount are set by NSW State Government legislation administered by the RTA. For more information go to the Office of State Revenue website.
