Code of Meeting Practice

To streamline and uniform proceedings, meeting at Council are conducted under certain guidelines and regulations.

These are known as the Code of Meeting Practice and also incorporate the meeting procedure requirements set out in the Local Government Act 1993 and the Local Government (General) Regulation 2005.

The Code covers the convening and conduct of meetings of Manly Council and of Committees of Council.

As well as conforming with accepted protocols and benchmarks, the Code of Meeting Practice also facilitates the smooth running of meetings, and the creation of an environment where the public interest can be upheld.
